Private betaRemote desktop for Mac, made for your phone
Pocketlid puts your Mac on your phone — sharp, fast and fully in your hands. Wake it from sleep, type on a real keyboard, move files and keep its screen dark while you work. At home, at the office or on mobile data.
Mac + Android · iOS coming soon
Asleep, lid closed or on battery: tap Wake, then connect as soon as it’s ready.
Type live with swipe and autocorrect, or open a full Mac keyboard with ⌘ ⌥ ⌃ and F-keys.
Screen, input and files go directly between your devices, encrypted end to end.
Pocketlid is built for one job — using a Mac from a phone — so every detail is tuned for touch.

Peer-to-peer over Wi-Fi or mobile data. When a direct path isn’t possible, an encrypted relay steps in.
Use your phone as a trackpad or tap right where you want. Two-finger scroll, pinch to zoom, three-finger swipes for Mission Control.
The Mac’s screen goes dark — and its keyboard and trackpad can be locked — while you work remotely.
Send files both ways, share from any app to your Mac, and sync text, images and files through the clipboard.
Hear what’s playing on your Mac, and mute its speakers while you listen.
Open a shell on your Mac, switch between running apps or launch new ones.
Unlock the Mac’s lock screen from your phone after a biometric check.
Lock, sleep the display, restart and more — with a confirmation for anything drastic.
Live typing sends every keystroke as you go, swipe and autocorrect included. Need shortcuts? Open the Mac keyboard, pin favorites to the toolbar, and get suggestions for the app in front.
Plugged in, Pocketlid keeps your Mac ready — even with the lid closed, thanks to an optional power helper. On battery, a sleeping Mac checks in every few minutes, so a wake request from your phone brings it back shortly.
A Mac that’s shut down can’t be turned on remotely.
Turn on curtain mode and the Mac’s own display goes dark while you see everything on your phone. Lock its keyboard and trackpad too, so nobody nearby can interfere. The pointer stays hidden on the Mac.
Pocketlid connects your phone and Mac directly over encrypted WebRTC. Our server only helps them find each other — it can’t see, record or change what you do.
Screen, input, audio and files flow peer-to-peer. When a relay is needed, it only forwards encrypted packets.
Each phone has a hardware-backed key in Android Keystore and signs every connection. The Mac proves its identity too.
A new phone enters the Mac’s PIN once. It’s verified with a PAKE (CPace), so an eavesdropper can’t brute-force it.
Remove a phone from your account and it can no longer connect to any of your Macs.
Install Pocketlid and allow Screen Recording and Accessibility. It lives quietly in your menu bar.
In the phone app, tap Add Mac and scan the QR code on your Mac, or type the short code. Every phone on your account then sees it automatically.
The first time, enter the Mac’s PIN once. After that it’s one tap — at home, at work or on the go.

Both let you reach a computer remotely. Pocketlid is built only for using a Mac from a phone, so it goes deeper there: waking from sleep, curtain mode with input lock, a Mac keyboard with per-app shortcuts, Mac audio, and file and clipboard tools designed for touch.
Yes. Pocketlid connects peer-to-peer over Wi-Fi or mobile data. On networks that block direct connections, Pro falls back to an encrypted relay.
No. Your screen, input and files travel directly between your devices, encrypted end to end. Our server handles your account and helps your devices find each other — nothing more.
A Mac with macOS 14.2 or later and an Android phone with Android 8.0 or later. An iOS app is in the works.
Tap Wake. A plugged-in Mac stays reachable, even with the lid closed when the optional power helper is installed. On battery, a sleeping Mac checks in every few minutes and connects once it’s awake.
